Embedded SME capital for a software platform's connected merchants, not a merchant's own Dashboard loan. US no-code starts in the Dashboard with an e-signed partnership contract. Financing is a loan, cash advance, loan advance, or line of credit depending on country. Stripe is not the named originator. Public preview versus GA, originator, and live-market copy do not agree across pages.

What it is

Stripe Capital for platforms is Stripe’s financing program for Connect platforms that want to offer capital to their connected accounts. Product page: launch a financing program in days, monetize without credit-loss liability, and let Stripe manage the cycle from underwriting to disbursal to automatic payments. Docs (How Capital for platforms works): Stripe and its financial partners manage eligibility, underwriting, pricing, funding, servicing, and collections. Connected accounts receive a principal plus a flat premium, with a payment rate withheld from future transactions and a minimum payment where the product type requires one. Funds after accept: 1 to 2 business days.

Three integration shapes sit on the current platforms page and Set up Capital docs: Stripe-hosted / no-code (Dashboard enable, Stripe sends co-branded offer emails), Embedded components (prebuilt Capital UI in the platform product), and Stripe API (platform notifications and flows, Stripe-hosted offer acceptance). Regardless of path, connected accounts accept on a Stripe-hosted Capital page or an embedded component. Platforms page: earn a revenue share on loans or merchant cash advances, with zero credit-loss liability for the platform.

This page is Stripe Capital for platforms: financing a software platform offers to its connected merchants. Dashboard Capital for a merchant’s own account is Stripe’s. Stripe Treasury, Stripe Issuing, and Stripe’s platform-payments product are Stripe’s. They are not this page.

Who it’s for

Partner shapes, from Stripe’s Capital for platforms, Connect, and Sessions pages:

  • Vertical SaaS and software platforms on Connect, which product copy and the 2026 Sessions breakout sell as the companies that turn on Capital so connected merchants fund cash flow, inventory, and growth inside the platform.
  • Marketplaces, which Connect and Capital copy sell as multi-party businesses that route payments and can offer financing to sellers through the same integration.
  • Platforms already processing on Stripe, which docs treat as the starting point: Capital prequalifies connected accounts from payment activity on Stripe with the platform. Non-Stripe payment data can be imported so more connected accounts qualify. Off-Stripe and off-platform Capital are named as Preview on the embedded-finance availability table.

US no-code intake is Get started on the Capital page in the Stripe Dashboard, pick integration and marketing, then e-sign the partnership contract and Activate automatic offers. No-code onboarding docs: only for businesses located in the US. Set up Capital’s compare table also lists AU under no-code markets. That table and the no-code page do not agree. UK, France, Germany, and Australia follow embedded components or API. API live-mode access to financing offers requires emailing capital-review@stripe.com. Custom marketing and custom email copy need a Stripe compliance review of 5 to 7 business days. Product pages still show Contact sales. Germany: platforms might need a local credit broker license. France: platforms might need IOBSP/ORIAS registration.

It is a fit for a Connect platform that wants branded or Stripe-hosted SME capital inside the product, will sign Stripe’s Capital partnership contract, and does not want to hold underwriting or funding liability itself.

Standout details

  • Platform product versus Dashboard Capital. stripe.com/capital is merchant-first: log in to Dashboard, see if you are eligible, apply for a loan or merchant cash advance into your own Stripe account. stripe.com/capital/platforms is the Connect program: the platform offers financing to connected accounts. Docs Overview splits the two: Access financing for your business, versus Capital for platforms. Overview still labels Capital for platforms as Public preview. Embedded-finance availability marks term financing GA in the United States, United Kingdom, and Eurozone FR/DE (H1 27 for BE, IE, NL, ES), Preview in Australia, Q4 26 in Canada. How Capital for platforms works lists AU, DE, FR, GB, US. Sessions 2026: live in UK, France, and Germany, with Australia and Canada launching later this year. Treat preview versus GA and Canada/Australia timing as vendor copy that does not agree. Dashboard Capital for a merchant’s own account, including Canadian merchant Capital on How Stripe Capital works, is Stripe’s. It is not this page.
  • Offer types by country (as printed). US: Flex loan (Celtic Bank or Lead Bank, 60-day minimums, bank debit if short), MCA (YouLend, no fixed schedule), Fixed-term loan (Celtic Bank or Lead Bank, for connected accounts whose off-Stripe payment data has been imported, weekly minimums), Line of credit (private preview, Celtic Bank or Lead Bank, draws repaid as principal plus a fixed fee over nine monthly payments, limit re-evaluated every 90 days). UK: cash advance for unincorporated entities and loan advance for incorporated entities, both provided by YouLend, max 350,000 GBP (up to 500,000 GBP for refills). FR and DE: loan advance (YouLend SAS / YouLend GmbH), max 150,000 EUR. AU: loan from Fundbox, 500 to 150,000 AUD (up to 250,000 AUD for refills). Connected-account eligibility on the platforms docs: for-profit in a supported country, at least 3 months of payments on Stripe with the platform, annual volume of at least 5,000 in local currency and monthly average of at least 1,000, good standing, applicant 18+ with at least 25% ownership. Meeting those does not guarantee an offer.
  • Underwriting and repayment (as printed). Daily prequalification from Stripe payment activity. Offers: principal, payment rate, premium (flat, no compounding interest), minimum where applicable. Example on platforms docs: 20,000 principal, 15% payment rate, 2,000 premium. Import-non-Stripe-data docs publish US Flex loan max 250,000 USD and Fixed-term max 150,000 USD, both with pricing of 8 to 19.99 percent, Flex expected 8 to 9 months with 60-day minimums, Fixed-term 42 weeks with 7-day minimums. stripe.com/capital shows separate illustrative merchant examples. There is no public platform revenue-share rate card on stripe.com/pricing. This listing does not reprint a fee schedule. Refills around 80% repaid (growth guide also says about 85%). No prepayment penalty. Stripe handles servicing (capital+support@stripe.com).
  • Ops and pricing. US no-code: Dashboard Get started, e-sign, Activate automatic offers. theCut customer story: 3 minutes to enable Capital for barbers. Sessions 2026 walkthrough: under two minutes for the fictional ZenFlow demo. Custom assets: Compliance Intake Form, 5 to 7 business days. API live mode: capital-review@stripe.com. Line of credit and non-Stripe data import: request access. Production for US no-code on an existing Connect platform is documented as Dashboard self-serve plus a contract. API, preview features, and FR/DE licensing are not. Revenue share is sold, not priced. Public pricing: not published.
  • Geography. Platforms docs live list: US, GB, FR, DE, AU. Availability table: term financing GA US/UK/FR/DE, Preview AU, Q4 26 CA, H1 27 BE/IE/NL/ES plus Singapore, New Zealand, Japan. Merchant How Stripe Capital works also covers CA. That merchant CA path is not this page. No-code markets disagree (US only on the no-code page, US and AU on Set up Capital). Founded year in frontmatter follows official Sessions copy that Stripe launched in 2010 (2024 opening keynote and 2026 Collison conversation). Headquarters follows Newsroom Information: dual headquarters in San Francisco and Dublin.
  • License and legal (as printed). Originators vary by country and page, as in license_posture. Stripe Brokering, Inc. (NMLS 1912151) facilitates US Capital loans to bank partners. Stripe Servicing, Inc. (NMLS 1839741) collects US Capital loans and names Celtic Bank, Member FDIC, as original creditor. Marketing of Capital requires Stripe and financial-partner review for the life of the program. US connected-account selection is described as randomized to comply with ECOA. DE/FR platform-side brokerage registration is called out as a possible requirement, not legal advice.
  • Scale figures are Stripe’s and do not agree across pages. Platforms product: 98% of surveyed users would take another offer, 95% would recommend, 68% took financing for working capital, 77% of small businesses have just enough cash to remain operational. Growth guide: 40% increase in customer lifetime value for platforms offering embedded finance, 80% retention for larger platforms, businesses accepting Capital grow revenue on Stripe an average of 27 percentage points faster, 80% of merchants that accept take additional financing, 70% of Stripe Capital businesses were not actively looking when they accepted, embedded components 30% higher conversion than email alone. Sessions 2026: platforms have sent over 400,000 financing offers since Sessions last year, 20 to 40% increase in user retention, Shopmonkey nearly $54 million issued and 30% payment-volume growth for accounts that take a loan, GlossGenius 30% eligibility increase after sharing offline data. theCut: customer story $700,000+ accepted in 24 hours by 167 barbers at a 20% email acceptance rate. Growth guide: 167 barbers accepted $788,000 in 24 hours. Treat those as vendor copy from specific pages, not a single audited figure.
  • Named on current Stripe Capital platforms, customers, Sessions, or growth-guide surfaces (vendor-named): theCut, Jobber, Shopmonkey, Squarespace, GlossGenius, Ignition, Clio, FreshBooks, and Housecall Pro. Attribute as Stripe-named platforms and quotes, not as independent verification.

Honest verdict

Stripe Capital is the listing to read when the job is embedded working capital for a software platform’s connected merchants: no-code, embedded, or API financing on Connect, sales-linked repayment, and Stripe and its financial partners running underwriting and funding so the platform does not take the credit liability. Dashboard Capital for a merchant’s own account, Stripe Treasury, Stripe Issuing, and Stripe’s platform-payments product are Stripe’s. They are not this page.

What it is not: a published platform rate card, a financing product for users who are not connected accounts, or consumer checkout installment credit as the core product. US no-code starts in the Dashboard with an e-signed partnership contract. Financing type and originator vary by country, and Stripe is not the named originator. Docs still label Capital for platforms as public preview while the availability table marks term financing GA in several markets. Public offer-count, retention, and named-customer funded figures disagree across Sessions, the customers story, and the platforms growth guide. If you are not on Connect and will not sign the Capital partnership contract, stop. If the job is branded SME capital inside your product for connected merchants, start here.
