Bank-originated POS consumer cards and installment loans for US merchants. Fill out the form or call is the intake. Synchrony Bank is the issuer. eCommerce plan merchant fees are published. In-store and CareCredit merchant fees are not. Public scale figures do not agree across pages.

What it is

Synchrony is Synchrony Financial’s (NYSE: SYF) point-of-sale consumer financing program for merchants. Current merchant pages call it consumer financing solutions for businesses and Synchrony Business. The canonical merchant URL is www.synchrony.com/business. The consumer homepage at www.synchrony.com is a D2C cards, Marketplace, and banking surface. It is not the merchant product URL.

Partner With Us: choice of revolving credit cards, installment loans, or both. Merchants enroll, register in Business Center to select offer terms and process applications and sales, customers apply from their own device and get a decision right away, and Synchrony pays the merchant and handles customer collection. Partner With Us FAQ: no additional hardware or software is required for the Business Center path. eCommerce Solutions and the developer portal at developer.syf.com add plugins and APIs so the same apply-and-buy flow can sit in a storefront, POS, mobile app, or practice-management system.

This page is Synchrony POS consumer credit for merchants: a retailer, provider, or software platform enrolls, the consumer applies at checkout, Synchrony Bank originates a revolving card or installment loan, and the merchant is paid after the sale. Consumer banking and deposits, Marketplace shopping, and D2C card marketing (including Synchrony Premier Mastercard sold on the consumer homepage) are Synchrony’s. They are not this page.

Who it’s for

Partner shapes, from Synchrony’s Business, Partner With Us, eCommerce Solutions, CareCredit provider, and developer pages:

  • Retail, home, auto, and specialty merchants, which Partner With Us sells as national retailers and small local businesses, manufacturers and buying groups, industry associates and service providers. Named industries on that page: Automotive, Electronics and Appliances, Flooring, Hardware, Health and Wellness, Heating and Air Conditioning, Home Furnishings, Home Improvement, Jewelry, Music, Outdoor Power Equipment, Powersports, Sewing and Vacuums, Sporting Goods, and Trailers. Network cards on current merchant pages include Synchrony HOME and Synchrony Car Care.
  • Healthcare and wellness providers, which the Business page and CareCredit provider pages sell as CareCredit enrolled locations. Patients or clients apply for the CareCredit credit card (and, where offered, Synchrony Pay Monthly installment loans). The provider is paid by Synchrony Bank and does not collect the patient receivable.
  • Software, POS, and eCommerce platforms, which eCommerce Solutions names as Shopify, Magento (Adobe Commerce), WooCommerce, and BigCommerce plugins for enrolled merchants, and which the Synchrony Developer Portal names as 3rd Party ISV Partners, 3rd Party Aggregator Direct Integration Partners, SMB and eCommerce Partners, plus practice-management integrations for CareCredit. Customer Apply and Buy on that portal: this solution supports select clients only, and you should contact your Synchrony representative to confirm eligibility.

Merchant intake is Fill out the form or call 1-844-866-8014 (Partner With Us, Business, eCommerce, Car Care). Already enrolled: Sign in to Business Center or call 1-800-333-1082. CareCredit providers: fill out a form or call 800-300-3046 (FAQ) or 1-866-853-8432 (older network-expansion release). Partner With Us: a consumer financing specialist will be in touch, and the team will contact you within one business day. That is a sales conversation, not a public self-serve live start. After enrollment, Welcome Center copy: register in Business Center with a 9-digit or 16-digit Merchant ID from a Welcome Email, connect a bank account for funding, then take a confirmation call and training.

It is a fit for a US merchant, healthcare provider, or checkout software company that wants Synchrony Bank to originate consumer credit at the point of sale, will complete enrollment, and does not want to hold the loan.

October 1, 2025 newsroom: Synchrony acquired Versatile Credit, a consumer-financing software provider connecting merchants, lenders, and consumers through point-of-sale solutions, and intends to keep Versatile serving numerous other lenders as well as their merchants. Treat Versatile as adjacent multi-source POS software Synchrony now owns, not as the Synchrony Bank originated program on this page.
  • Promotional plans (consumer terms as printed). eCommerce Growth Plan: Flex Credit Card with deferred interest promotions (no interest if paid in full within promotional period) and installment loans up to 36 months. Premium Plan: Flex Credit Card with no-interest promotions and installment loans up to 60 months. eCommerce headline: financing options from 6 weeks to 60 months. • Ops and pricing. Partner With Us: “Your pricing is based on the financing promotions you choose to offer your customers.” CareCredit FAQ: processing rate is based on factors including which special financing option a purchase is processed with, no annual or monthly fees, and you fill out a form and talk to the team to learn more. eCommerce setup guides: each promotion has a Merchant Discount Rate subtracted from the funded amount, merchants cannot pass the cost of financing to consumers, available promotions are determined by Synchrony, and the rate is set by the Product Solution selected at enrollment (WooCommerce: a rate sheet was provided during enrollment). eCommerce Solutions application currently prints two plan fees: Growth Plan merchant pricing 4.5% + $0.25 per transaction, Premium Plan merchant pricing 9% + $0.25 per transaction. Home Specialty Cost of Credit Calculator: enter Synchrony merchant fee if known, and if you do not know it, use 7.00%, marked illustrative only. Public pricing on this listing: those eCommerce plan fees are published. In-store, network-card, and CareCredit merchant fees are not a public rate card. Production for a new merchant or ISV partnership is sales-led.
  • Geography. Terms of Use: you must be at least 18 (or the age of majority in your state) and a resident of the United States. Online Privacy Policy: the Bank site is exclusively directed to legal residents of the United States. 10-K: substantially all revenue-generating activities are within the United States. CareCredit: accepted at enrolled provider and retail locations nationwide. Synchrony Car Care: nationwide acceptance. This listing treats the live merchant POS job as United States.
  • License and legal (as printed). Originator is Synchrony Bank, as in license_posture. 10-K: Synchrony is a savings and loan holding company and financial holding company supervised by the Federal Reserve Board, and a large consumer-financial-services provider supervised by the CFPB. The Bank is a federally chartered savings association supervised by the OCC, CFPB, and FDIC. It is not the POS credit product on this page. Terms of Use choice of law: State of Utah and US federal law. CareCredit provider agreements may be terminated at will on 15 days’ notice for most individual providers (10-K). No NMLS number is printed on the current legal and merchant pages read for this listing.
  • Scale figures are Synchrony’s and do not agree across pages. 10-K for the year ended December 31, 2025: financed $182.3 billion of purchase volume, $103.8 billion of loan receivables, 70.7 million active accounts at year end, $81.1 billion in deposits (84% of funding). Same 10-K: average active accounts 68.9 million in 2025, and “nearly 70 million customers” in the marketing-and-data section. 10-K for 2024: $182.2 billion purchase volume, 71.5 million active accounts, $82.1 billion deposits. CareCredit consumer homepage and provider pages: 285,000+ enrolled provider and retail locations, 12M+ total open cardholder accounts on the provider page, 7.7 million average active CareCredit accounts in a February 27, 2026 provider FAQ article, more than $157 billion in care financed since inception. 10-K: Health and Wellness network exceeded 290,000 locations at December 31, 2025, and during 2025 over 215,000 provider and retail locations processed a CareCredit application or made a sale. July 23, 2025 CareCredit press: over 285,000 providers, including 80% of dental practices in the US. Partner With Us cites the Ninth Annual Major Purchase Study, 2023: 50% of major purchase shoppers sought financing after price increases, 37% with a Synchrony credit card spend more for a higher-quality product, 85% say they will shop more often after having a store credit card. eCommerce Solutions: 44% of shoppers said they always seek financing options (same 2023 study). Company-age copy does not agree: banking About says more than 80 years, CareCredit provider page says Fortune 200 with 90+ years of financial experience, July 2025 CareCredit press says nearly 100 years and CareCredit for more than 35 years. Investor FAQ: public company as of July 31, 2014. Headquarters in frontmatter follows the Investor FAQ Stamford, Connecticut line. Treat those as vendor copy from specific pages, not a single audited figure.

Honest verdict

Synchrony is the listing to read when the job is offering Synchrony Bank consumer revolving cards and installment loans at a US merchant’s or healthcare provider’s point of sale, including eCommerce plugins and a published developer apply-and-buy path for software platforms. Consumer banking, deposits, Marketplace shopping, and D2C card marketing are Synchrony’s. They are not this page.

What it is not: a self-serve live start with no sales conversation, a published merchant fee for CareCredit and in-store programs, or a deposit or checking product. Fill out the form or call is the intake. Synchrony Bank originates. eCommerce Growth and Premium plan merchant fees are on the eCommerce Solutions page. Public purchase-volume, account, and CareCredit location figures disagree across the 10-K, CareCredit pages, and merchant study copy. If you will not complete a merchant or partner conversation, stop. If the job is bank-originated checkout credit for a US retailer, provider, or POS software platform, start here.
