Embedded SME capital for a software platform's merchants, not consumer checkout credit. Become a partner is the intake. Merchant financing is not FCA-regulated as consumer credit. Public scale figures do not agree across pages.
What it is
YouLend is YouLend Limited’s embedded financing platform for enterprises that want to offer capital to their small and medium-sized business customers. The homepage calls it a global embedded financing platform: flexible financing integrated directly into your platform. FAQ copy: YouLend is an embedded financing provider helping partners like technology companies, marketplaces, e-commerce providers, and more extend their value proposition with financing products for small and medium-sized businesses. Docs Introduction: enterprises offer fast, flexible and affordable finance solutions, with funds in the hands of business customers in as little as a day, and with no partner capital required for the standard path.
Capital is the merchant working-capital product on the current Capital page. Marketing names three shapes: Working Capital (sales-linked financing), Flexible Finance Line (a pre-approved line merchants can draw from more than once), and Fixed Payments (a clear funding amount with set repayments). Homepage and Capital copy sell revenue-based funding with a fixed fee rather than interest, automatic repayment as a percentage of sales, and funding marketed up to £2,000,000. Docs call the core capital product Cash Advance: partners offer flexible business financing to their merchants without any liability on the partner, with repayments proportionate to sales. YouLend performs automated underwriting and the credit decision. Partners can host the journey on YouLend-hosted co-branded pages or embed it through APIs and Embedded Components.
This page is YouLend Capital for software platforms: embedded working capital and cash advance for the platform’s merchants. Instant Payouts (docs: Instant Settlement), Spend Management, Fast Track Onboarding, the broker path, and the direct-to-merchant Apply for funding flow are YouLend’s. They are not this page.
Who it’s for
Three shapes, from YouLend’s own pages:
- Marketplaces, ecommerce platforms, and technology companies, which the About page and Ecommerce & Tech use-case page name as the companies that use YouLend so their merchants can fund marketing, inventory, and cash flow.
- Payment service providers, which the PSP use-case page sells as a way to boost core transactions with value-add financial services for merchants.
- Banks and brokers, which have their own use-case pages. Banks meet SME financing needs through YouLend. Brokers introduce clients and earn commission. Those paths are YouLend’s. They are adjacent to the software-platform Capital job on this page.
Partner intake is Become a partner (HubSpot form linked from partner CTAs), Request a demo on product pages, Contact (partnership@youlend.com and support@youlend.com), and docs that route deeper integration questions to partnershipmanagement@youlend.com. FAQ: the right agreements must be in place prior to the pilot launch. Docs Partner Dashboard: every partner gets a YouLend dashboard after YouLend grants access. Merchant apply and login sit at youlend.com/apply for the direct business path. That is not a public self-serve start for a new platform partnership.
It is a fit for a software or payments company that wants branded SME capital inside the product, will complete a partnership conversation, and does not want to hold underwriting or funding liability itself.
Standout details
- Capital product surface (current pages). Capital page: Working Capital, Flexible Finance Line, and Fixed Payments. Homepage Capital block: revenue-based funding up to £2,000,000, fixed fee rather than interest, automatic repayment as a percentage of sales, transparent pricing language without a published rate card. Docs Cash Advance: typical journey is prequalified offers, digital application with KYC and bank statements, electronic offer acceptance, payout and repayment setup, then in-life management and renewal. Some partners brand it as Partner Capital, Partner Business Finance, or Partner Advance. Docs also note a less common path where a partner provides its own capital and makes its own credit decisions. Ask YouLend before assuming that model.
- Integration depth. Marketing and docs share three public paths: No-Code / Co-branded (YouLend-hosted journey, no partner development), Embedded Components (prebuilt UI in the partner dashboard, including Application Journey via ylembed-js), and Custom / Fully Embedded API (partner hosts screens end to end). Docs also list 1 Click Referral and Partner Hosted Onboarding as lighter API steps. Marketing: go live in as little as 7 days depending on integration depth. Docs Instant Settlement (marketing Instant Payouts) is API-delivered inside the partner UI: same-day access to receivables with a fixed fee agreed upfront, with an intermediate settlement account for repayment. Product Overview also names Spend Management (business cards, bill payments, accounts) as Reach out. Nav lists Spend. /products/spend currently returns 404. Treat Spend as named on Overview, not as a fully published product page today.
- Repayment and open banking. FAQ: YouLend uses Open Banking to access payment data and generate tailored funding offers. Docs repayments cover YouLend-managed sweeps, partner-managed sales-based repayments, bulk partner payment, and direct debits by geography. Regulatory Information: YouLend Limited and YouLend ApS are authorised to open and operate settlement accounts for merchants so sales or card processors can send funds used to repay the financing, and to execute payment transactions out of those accounts for repayment.
- License and legal (as printed). Footer and Regulatory Information: YouLend Limited is a Payment Institution authorised by the FCA (FRN 947287) under the Payment Services Regulations 2017 for payment services in the United Kingdom. YouLend ApS is a Payment Institution authorised by the Danish Financial Supervisory Authority (FTID 22048), with payment services in Denmark and in Germany and France under EU passporting. Same pages: YouLend’s merchant financing is not regulated by the FCA or the Danish FSA. UK Regulatory Information adds that merchant financing agreements in the UK are not regulated by the FCA for the purpose of providing business financing. Germany line: facilitation of merchant financing agreements by YouLend in Germany is not regulated by BaFin or Finanstilsynet. The current Regulatory Information page does not name a US bank partner or a US state lending license. US Privacy Policy (last updated on 06.09.2026 as printed): YouLend US LLC, services designed for clients in the United States, site also referenced as www.youlend.us (which resolves into youlend.com/us). That US privacy policy names third-party capital providers and credit partners including Experian, Equifax, and SBFE for US credit assessment. Same page: Community Federal Savings Bank (Member FDIC), with GoCardless Ltd as a third-party servicer, processes Direct Debit payments. That is repayment processing, not a named US originator for the financing. UK/EEA Privacy Policy (last updated August 6, 2026): legal group YouLend Limited with wholly-owned subsidiaries including YouLend ApS, plus YouLend GmbH (Germany) and YouLend SAS (France). Terms of use: no charge to apply for financing; fees due to the lender and/or to YouLend appear in the Financing Contract. This listing does not reprint a fee schedule.
- Ops and pricing. /pricing returns 404. There is no public platform rate card. Become a partner CTAs open a HubSpot intake. Contact lists partnership@youlend.com. Docs Fully Embedded and Cash Advance point partnership questions to partnershipmanagement@youlend.com or partnerships@youlend.com. Partner Dashboard access is issued by YouLend (UK and USA production login URLs are published in docs). Production for a new platform is sales-led.

- Scale figures are YouLend’s and do not agree across pages. Homepage: 370,000+ businesses funded, $10 billion in SME revenue, 300+ partners, 85% renew, 9 out of 10 applicants approved, 26% growth for YouLend-backed SMEs in the six months after funding, 75% churn-rate reduction. Impact page: began in 2015, £7 billion / £7+ billion contributed to global GDP in SME revenue, 26% sales growth, 14% employment increase, higher female-led approval share than a stated UK average. Instant Payouts page: 300,000 merchants funded to date. Docs Introduction: 150,000+ instances of funding through YouLend’s platform to date. About timeline: birth story dated 2016 in CTO Mark Ufland’s bedroom, UK and Ireland launch 2018, Europe 2022, United States 2023, and a 2024 £4 billion financing investment from J.P. Morgan. Treat those as vendor copy from specific pages, not a single audited figure. Founded year in frontmatter follows the Impact page “began in 2015” line.
- Named on current YouLend product, about, homepage, or case-study pages: Amazon, eBay, Paysafe, PayU, Glovo, orderbird, Epos Now, FreshBooks, Tide, Foodhub, and Funding Options (homepage quotes and/or Partner Case Studies / blog case studies). FreshBooks case study (January 19, 2026): white-labeled financing for more than 100,000 US customers, same vendor renewal and approval claims as elsewhere on the site.

Honest verdict
YouLend is the listing to read when the job is embedded working capital for a software platform’s or payment provider’s SME merchants: co-branded or API-embedded cash advance, sales-linked repayment, and YouLend running underwriting and funding so the platform does not take the credit liability. Instant payouts and spend tools are adjacent YouLend products. They are not the Capital job on this page.
What it is not: a published platform buy rate, a self-serve live start without a partnership agreement, or consumer point-of-sale installment credit. Become a partner is the intake. Merchant financing is business financing, and YouLend’s own footer says that financing is not FCA or Danish FSA regulated even though the payment-institution permissions for settlement accounts are. Public funded-merchant and revenue figures disagree across pages. If you will not complete a partnership conversation, stop. If the job is capital for the businesses on your platform across the UK, Europe, and the US, start here.
